Giant Telescope Under Construction

Construction on the Giant Magellan Telescope at Las Campanas, Chile broke ground last month. The project involves institutions from Australia, Brazil, and Korea, plus the Carnegie Institution for Science, Harvard University, Smithsonian Institution, Texas A&M University, the University of Arizona, and the University of Chicago, and The University of Texas.
